One of the areas of health and fitness that I'm most excited about is the fact that we are losing a lot of the misconceptions about what is a "boy" workout or a "girl" workout and we are focusing more on just getting healthier and happier.
It makes me very happy as a father of young children (one boy and one girl) that they will grow up in a world where they can express themselves through their fitness in any way that suits them. I'm especially excited for my daughter Hannah because she will grow up in an environment where if she wants to do ballet.....cool!....or if she wants to do heavy deadlifts.....also cool!
This week I brought in some powerhouse fitness experts that are at the forefront of a movement that is empowering females to get out and do their thing when it comes to fitness. I knew that this was going to be a really fun and interesting conversation and Joy and Claire over delivered!
These ladies are the dynamic duo behind the Girls Gone WOD podcast. They are super passionate about leading by example and helping as many people as possible along the way. I really love their enthusiasm for fitness and the authenticity that they bring to the table as they are not afraid to get real and share about their own struggles or sticking points in fitness and in life.
